crash information

Hello,

I've searched the newsgroup and the Autodesk knowledge base, and could
not find any relevant information on the following error.

' Crash Information
' ACCESS_VIOLATION
' Build: 275e, Release: 7 RTM - Date: Tue 04/09/2003
' Last command completed
' Last request completed
' Call Stack: Address = 11 utx.dll 0x0003232C utx.dll 0x00031830 utx.dll
0x0002A64B utx.dll 0x0002A605 utx.dll 0x00025888 rse.dll 0x000B231A FW.dll
0x0012CD3D FW.dll 0x00073669 FW.dll 0x00072716 MFC42u.DLL 0x00012566
KERNEL32.dll 0x00017D08

Could someone please tell me what this means.

Thanks,
Will

Will,

The crash stack alone doesn't help much.
Can you post the dataset so that we can take a look at it?

The dataset is the model / assembly you are working on.

The program crashes a few moments after starting it. The start up splash
screen will appear, and then it will crash.

Looks similar to the BSOD crashes I got when I recently installed INV7. Make sure all your system tray icons are shut off and there is nothing running in the background when you go to run INV. If you can then get INV to run, go straight away and set the video driver setting in the Application Options to something lower. Then you can test staility with other settings and try other troubleshooting methods. I have an ATI card and I can only run on the MS Generic driver because my card is not certified. After I made this change, my BSOD crashes seem to have stopped. Hope this helps.

Steve
