change file name in an assembly

How do you change a part file name in an assembly so it will be able to find that part. I am trying to change more than the part name, I need the file name changed.

really, that never dawned on me. I did that but all it did was change the part number, not the file name.

I figured it out, the main assembly can not be in "released state" it has to be in "work in progress"

Did you do a RENAME and CHANGE NAME?

I don't know if I'm doing it correctly, but it's
the only method I've found.
