As of IV6 library files are read only. Either create a project whose
workgroup is the directory of the library files or move the files from the
library into the workgroup and then you'll be able to modify them. I use
the 1st method with no problems.
I think that Autodesk needs to rethink how they made the Library files read
only. I think that they are right in the fact that the library files should
not be modified however they should be able to be migrated up to the latest
release and saved to that version without a problem.
