appearance Icons do not show color

Does any one have a clue as to why most of my appearance icons have no color? When I make a selection i get good results. SEE attachment

Why are the default appearance libraries called material libraries.? Sorry for the delay Ill try adding the attachment again.

Ok I have tried a png. .gif pdf. .doc and a different browser.Why can't I attach a file.

How large is the file that you are attempting to attach?

Simple screen shots GIF is 115 kb ping 242 kb pdf 444 kb My It dep must have some blocked - I ll have to check tomorrow.
