adaptive projected geometry

I've never had a problem with this in IV5.3. I've upgraded to IV6 now i
cannot get projected geometry to be adaptive. Place a part into an assembly,
start a sketch, project geometry. I get the feature outlines in pink but no
references under the sketch. If the sketch is not already adaptive it will
not go adaptive automatically like it should. Any suggestions on how to get
this working again?

pentium 4 1.6 GHz, Win2000 sp4, 3D Labs Oxygen GVX1, IV6 SP2

Thanks,
keith

What is the setting under Tools/App Options/Assy / enable Cross Part... is
it checked? If not then you'll either need to check it or hold down ctrl
while projecting geometry.
