Wishlist for Version 8

I would like to see the "Measure Distance" command enhanced.

The icon looks good at the bottom of the screen but I would like to see the
"Position" color coded in the "Measure Distance" Command to the icon colors.
Would be easier to figure out...

I would rather have X be red and Y be green, and Z be Blue 8^)

But I agree it would be a help sometimes.

The colors are wrong. Look at your three arrows at the bottom of the model
screen. Red,Green, and blue for x, y and z.

1.) What I all ready paid for to work.
2.) IV PRO bundled into the base package, to make it the "all-in-one"
solution I was sold on.

Expanded API, especially for IDW work (Parts lists, balloons, view
control,etc.)

1/ Provide greater robustness with links from excel to ipt
Allow links from ipt to excel. Provide error messages that have meaning
to the user.

2/ Please improve the user interface to the parameters dialogue box.
The behavior and feel is real gummy to work with. Be able to remember
user settings - column widths, areas expanded or not for example.

3/ Improve DA so we can display part/assys at different levels deep. I
would like it to by default show the tree partly expanded to the first
level down. Be able to remember my last display setting.
Slicken up DA so the user does not get the OLE warning as if this is a
serious problem when excel is linked. See part 1
Be able to assign item numbers to parts from DA as a user option.

4/ Allow projecting of derived sketches to be associative within the
weldment environment.

5/ Would almost overlook the latest marketing scam if INV8 allowed
multiple instances of iam files to be simultaneously displayed in
different states and then bare the same part number as in the real world.

6/ Improve surface editing tools - be able to extend a surface, be able
to fill holes within a surface that blend.

7/ Allow associative projecting of spline generated surface stitched
solid edges.

I changed the colors in the image I created of that dialog... I know colors
are wrong... 🙂 Just wanted to show my thought.
