OK - I am trying to get the scale of the base view in my titleblock. I have searched help and this forum and have come to the conclusion that as of Inventor 2012, this still can not be accomplished without add-ons?
I have also read the posts about if the view scale should or shouldn't be added to the titleblock. And I don't want to open that can of worms! The bottom line is, my customer requires it, so its a requirement for me.
Someone please tell me I have missed something and the base view scale can be added to the titleblock.

Thank you, this is the cleanest workaround I have seen yet.
I still can't believe Autodesk would ignore all the requests from its faithful users for this to be added to the native package, especially since it would be so easy.... Makes you think, what are they thinking!
It’s very kind of you.
Glad I could help.
Regards,
Ale
Thanks for this very useful tool.
Is there a way to copy the rule from my template to existing idws? I am not that familiar with iLogic or VB...
Please, try the following.
An iLogic rule called "Myrule" will be automatically created.
If you no longer need the automatic rule creation process you can turn it off running the macro called Start_stop.stop_initialize_iLogic_rule().
I hope it can be useful.
Please, let me know if the procedure is not clear.
Kind regards,
Alessandro
Why do I have to download a tool for this and why is it not implemented on Inventor 2013? If you have the tool it would be so easy! My boss doesn't want to install a separate tool that might be not supported in other versions.
The same about the print-date, it would be easy to implement this as a feature. Please Autodesk, add those variables for the Version 2014.
I have waited for this option since Inventor 5.3.
That's the version I started with.
I can't understand why this is so difficult for Autodesk.
