Using exported parameters in a table?

Hi, I'm a Inventor 2010 user.

I have a conventional partslist based on the structured BoM of my main assembly. Some parts in different subassemblys have exported parameters witch a want to use in a new table different from the partslist table. It's a nozzle table with column information about angles, orientations, hights, dimensions and so on.

I can't find a proffesional way how to create a regular table from witch I can fetch and display my "changeable" exported parameters for this "nozzle table". I've tried to use to different kind of partslist in the same drawing, but it seem like they can only use the same "assembly level", either structured, or Parts Only. (And I need different level information.)

All the parameters is derived from my skeleton models and exported in the source. I have made columns in the individual parts, with the information I need in my nozzle table, from the main assemblys BoM - Parts Only.

Anyone know how to create a table like this.

If you want different kind of parts list in the same drawing, please, try the following.

  • Create  the main idw with a Structured Parts List in it.
  • Create another new idw.
  • Insert the Parts only Parts List in this second idw  (just selecting the assembly in the dialog, you don’t need to create an assembly view)
  • Copy the Parts List and paste it in the main idw.

I hope you can find it useful.

Kind regards,

Alessandro
