At this time I believe that those are the only available options for detail views. Breakout views allow sketched boundaries,... but that won't help you. 
Perhaps this is one for the Idea Station.

when the square peg doesnt fit in the round hole, get a bigger hammer!
Its just 2 breakout views getting rid of half the excess view at a time, project sausage geometry from sketch 2 to sketch 3
