Inventor 2013 - My end goal here is to notify our users of available updates. I've given up on Live Updates because apparently it only notifies of service packs and not just updates since update 2 is now available and it isn't registering on live update in Inventor. My next recourse is to use the CAD Manager Channel to notify users which I have set up via the CAD Manager Control Utility. I have formatted the xml file per RSS 2.0 and the xml file is in the location where the communication center in Inventor is looking but it says "cannot connect to feed". The feed location is correct in the CAD Manager Control Utility and the CAD Manager Channel is enabled. Is anyone using this and if so how?
You could use below link to create special product's RSS with below link.

After the link you required has been created, add it into default RSS feeds at InfoCenter table.
And check the enable options.
After this setting is succeed, you could create a .reg file and import it to other computers.
If you want to know more infomation about the RSS used in the CAD manager utility, please see more details at below link:

Yes, that would be an option, however there is so much other stuff in those feeds that I don't want users wasting time on. I need something that I have control of content - like the Cad Manager Channel... So are we saying that the Cad Manager Channel function provided in Inventor actually does not work and there is no way to use it? Any comments Autodesk?
You could unable the RSS feeds at Inventor, and enable the RSS feeds at CAD Manager Utility
