I would guess new acads will read SAT 7 since they are built on new ASM
kernel which was founded on ACIS 7. But beyond 7 it wont be called ACIS
(SAT) as adesks licencing of acis stopped at R7. I have no idea if there
will be a new exchange format developed for ASM as it moves forward. Imagine
if autodesk set a standard for fully featured exchange.
