Two Assembly Positions in one Assembly

Hi All,

My Assembly has two possible positions for my piston.

I would like to show both piston positions (top and bottom) in one drawing file; however, in different drawing views.

I was wondering if anyone has any idea as to how this is accomplished, that is, if it can be done.

I have tried using LOD and Drawing View Representations, but it is my understanding that neither of these are meant to be used in this way.

Can anyone help me out with this?

I assume that this is a relaitively common issue.

Thank you,

Have you tried using the  "Overlay" command in the idw? Then you can choose the positional rep that you created in the assembly. Don't know if you can show it in a different view.

How about placing another view of the iam (but with a different VR) on the drawing to show the other position?
