Try This Please

1. Open the attached ipt.
2. "Edit" sketch 1
3. Click the "Look At" Icon
4. Select the Horizontal Line
5. Mouse over any line. Will probably highlite.
6. Add a angular dimension between the vertical and diagnal line (should 115 degrees)
7. Mouse over horizontal or vertical line.
- 7.1 Do they highlite?
Add a dimension to the horizontal or vertical line by clicking on the line.
- 7.2 Can you do it?
The answer to 7.1 and 7.2 in my case is NO!!!
8. Slightly rotate the sketch.
9. Mouse over horizontal or vertical line.
- 9.1 Do they highlite?
Add a dimension to the horizontal or vertical line by clicking on the line.
- 9.2 Can you do it?
The answer to 9.1 and 9.2 in my case is YES!!!


Whats going on here?????

I have tried this on two different machines with two different processors and two different graphic cards with the same results. If your results are different, I would sure like to know why?

This is a known problem. I don't know of any other solution than to rotate slightly out of isometric.

I can't repeat your issue on my end. everything is fine. had no trouble in doing steps 1-9.

It's not a consistant problem.

Sometimes it works, sometimes not.

Thanks to all for the replies.

At least I know it's not just me.

Guess will just have to live with misery until Adesk fixes the bug.

BTW... would anyone know if re-installing Inventor would help. Hate to do it and mess up all custom settings if it will not make any difference?

No difference here. Not that I reinstalled because of this, but I have since and the problem persists.
