The kerning of text in PDFs created by exporting out from Inventor IDW is way too close & looks terrible.
The font is Ariel with nothing special about it I know of.
I tried printing to PDF ( I have Acrobat) & it looks good, text is WYSIWYG - no problem but PDF file is larger.
Is there a trick to exporting to PDF from Inventor to get WYSIWYG?
Gary

are you sure use Arial?
try to check again, or try another font.
I don't have any problem with export to pdf,
or may you can use PDF printer to do this.
Double check the font. If possible copy in the same font from another machine and see if that changes anything.
It may be the font, I use nothing but Times New Roman and have no problems.
However it my be a setting with in Adobe it self, as this seem to be at least the second post where a user has had problems. Do you have these settings in Adobe ?
In your original post you mentioned you had Acrobat on your system. There is a know conflict when Acrobat is load on the same system as Inventor when export a idw as pdf. If you print through Acrobat how does it look?

Can you explain more about this "known conflict"?
You might laugh at me for saying this but make sure your print drivers are up to date. I had issues on one clients machine but after updating the print driver he had no more issues..
In all the year, at lest 10, that Ive been converting from IDW to PDF I've not had this problem.
I thinking on the lines of a third party program causing this problem.
Can you send me your test file so I can see waht results I get
I'd like to see this get solved as you neve know I might end up in this predicamane myself some time in the future.
Have you contacted Adobe about this ??
