Sweep using 3D sketch as path unsuccessful.

Hello everyone,

I need help in cutting of the edge of a guitar body, no issues with the flat surface, I extrude-cut them.

There's a problem on the elevated area which I tried sweep on a 3D sketch path, but it fails as shown in the picture.

Use sketch 18 as the profile, use 3D sketch 6 as path, same as the other one,
Use sketch 19 as the profile, use 3D sketch 7 as path.

I'm using Inventor 2012.

Pictures, error report, LP 2.jpgand .ipt files are attached.

Thank you,

I may not be understanding your design intent exactly, but I think this is the way I'd approach this.

Hello Rdyson,

It worked without any errors!
Thank you very much for the solution and that's my first time using guide surface during sweep, it helps the groove space to be even.

I attached this picture just in case you want to know the design the intention (forgot to state at first), it's the groove for installing the striped binding. This model is for CNC machining.
