Sweep Problem

Why can I not select the (sketch4) profile to sweep a cut?

Something like this?
I think I left an extraneous offset in Sketch3 - you can delete that. I thought I might need another rail.
What I did is RMB on Sketch4 Copy then RMB on ending face and Paste. Delete Sketch4. Moved sketch to correct location and Loft.

Thanks JD, that obviously words, but doesn't answer my question.
A sweep SHOULD work as well, but the closed sketch can not be selected, WHY?

To expand on JD's solution.... the fillets in the path prevent the shape
from following the path, because self intersection of the shape occurs. JD's
solution is probably the only one in this instance.

Common (shared) point prevents the shape from following the path without
stretching or shrinking the shape profile. (image)

All well and good Dennis, But why can't I PICK the profile?
Is IV now smart enough to protect me from myself?

I had no problems picking the profile or path. It could be a video issue.
Inventor 2008 was designed for Direct 3D as the recommended option.

I'm running my NVidia on Direct3D instead of Open GL. You might make sure
that your driver is up to date.

I'm also using nVidia and D3D

Had a crash that required a reboot
I can now pick the profile
Go figure

It didn't cure the CC view issue though

I had no trouble picking the profile - in fact Inventor found it for me when I started the Sweep command.

Just to try to force a pick problem I went back and Ctrl unselected the profile and was easily able to reselect it manually.
