Surface

Hello,

Is there a way to create a surface that is a copy of a face of a part geometry.

I came from ProE, and you highlight the surface, copy and paste and collect all the surfaces (faces) that you need for you feature.

Thanks,

Use Copy Object and then collect your faces to copy as surfaces or composites.

Use Offset/Thicken to Offset a Face as a Surface.

Yes, once you are activated into part mode in an assembly you can use Copy Object to copy goemetry from another part into the one you are working on.

Since you are coming from Pro-E, here is a quick tip.

Hold Shift+Middle Mouse button to Orbit.

Also get used to using Project Geometry, but don't over use it.

Yes, use Split or Sculpt depending on the need and the geometry.
