Stuck modelling Plug adapter

Hello all,

Having trouble getting a taper/spherical cut on these plug prong socket ends, I have included images and my file.

I have managed a similar effect when rounding off hex bolts etc but cannot wrap my head around this instance.

Any help would be fantastic.

Using Inventor Prof 2013 windows 7.

Way more features involved, but perhaps closer to what the picture shows...

Thank you both for the suggestions, I cannot open either of the files though...

One states the version is newer and _SB gives me an error about rse streams?

Would it be possible for you both to send the files as a step and/or screen shot the browser tree with relevant sketches in visibility mode?

Kind regards

Daniel

On my "solution" I did a Full Round Fillet.
Not sure if you are aware of that fillet type.

I missed the fact that you are running 2013.

Have you installed all Service Packs for 2013?

Hi Leeds,

I just Stepped out both files for you (JD one was 2014, and SB was 2015). I did the translation from 2015, hopefuly Everything works for you.

Thank's for the reply,

I think I have used that somewhat in the past, I will give it a go late.

I imagine one or two sp's have cropped up since I last did any updating, will have a scout.

Cheers

Daniel

Hi! I used Face Draft to ensure the two faces are coming in at a designated angle. R2013 file is attached. Let me know if you have any question.

Thanks!

Thank you all,

I have managed to acheive the look via revolve at a 180deg both ways (image attached). Could you please let me know if this is similar to how you acheived yours?

Also in regards to the face draft, I have only used them several times and find them very confusing (need more practice). Could you please elaborate on how you drafted only the top edge of the extrusion.

I did notice a sketched radius and split, how were this integral to the succesful draft? I could only select the whole of one face at any given time.

Kind regards

Daniel
