Might be an uneducated question, but why is there an option to save a STEP format with sketches if there is no option to
re-import them?
I've tried to save some STEP files with the "Include SKetches" option on, yet I've found no way to get them back when I import the same file.
Just curious why that is or am I missing something???

I've not actually tested this but I suspect that sketches are exported as wires, which is an import option. (Writen without looking to verify)
When loading the STEP file with "Wires" checked with "Entity types to Import" in "Step Import Options" dialog, the sketches will be imported as "3d sketches".

I might be dumb..
I've tried it with a simple part, a revolution and a cut, saved it as STEP and re-imported it with the options checked.
I see no sketches of any kind anywhere.
Should it be in the featuretree or somewhere else?
Thank You
Attach your file here - I just tried it and it worked fine for me (shetches must be visible).

Aha!
The secret password is that "Sketches must be visible" before the STEP save!
Thank You, that was it!
