Square to Round Transition Issue...Sheet Metal

Hai All Dear ones,

Here I am attaching a square to round transition duct drawings which is weld assembly & assembly drawing in pdf, This one was made in Inventor from one of our principle maker, I am trying to make this similar in inventor as I couldn’t, I am pretty good in sheet metal able to make the casing well, but couldn’t the assembly of pins and making of cladding sheets on that curved surface, please advice me if there is any easy method to do this,  Help me if you can,

Wow, that's a beast. I doubt there's an easy way, but it may help if you include the version of Inventor you're using. I'm guessing you may have to cheat a little on the liner overlaps. Also, it's somewhat unclear what's going on where the upper liner plates transition from cone to cylinder.

Yeap its really a beast, and yes we have to do some cheating on over lapping liners....but I am facing problem on assembling the pins, doses they assembled in flat pattern or some other way, and also the lines....I am using Inventor 2010 Version,

Please Help me if you can,

Just a reminder, there is no way to "convert" a newer version file to an older version.

I suspect karthur provided you a file created in 2010 or earlier for you.

"Database schema is newer than this version of the software"

Sorry about that.  Try this one.  Pretty sure it was done with 2010.

On a side note, what service packs do you have installed?  You can find them here for 2010.

Is there an easy way to make a round to square trans. in autocad similar to the one karthur1 posted?   I'm needing the flat and formed layout.

Before we started using Inventor, I would do this in Autocad.  If you have Inventor, curious why you would even want to use Acad (unless you just want to learn how of course)?

Its much easier to do in Inventor.

I'll have to search around and see if I can find one that was done "manually".
