Shrinkwrapping

Can one selctively (by clicking) select what holes to patch for shrinkwrapping?

Can one selectively undo (by clicking) certain patched holes after a shrinkwrap?

There is no way to individually select holes for exclusion or inclusion. You can give it a size percentage range (note: This is not hole size, Percentage size of the whole assembly to be shrinkwrapped). This option is in the Shrinkwrap options tab under Hole Patching. In hole patching there is the Range (perimeter) you can select the Min range and select measure your smallest hole (the size will differ from actual size). You can repeat the same thing for the max size hole.

Other options would be to suppress the features you don’t want to see in the component level and then create a shrinkwrap assembly. If you do so one thing to remember would be to break the link back. If you don’t do so when you unsuppress the features your shrinkwrap part will want to update to show the current status of the parts with an assembly.

Selective hole patching was possible in the pre release verion of shrinkwrap. We could use it, as a subscription user, for one year. Then shrinkwrap was included in inventor and we lost this nive feature. 😞

So it is possible, why has Autodesk removed it from the final version?
