Sheet metal cones in R8 ???

Handling cones by the sheet metal method wasn't that easy. No standard
feature available yet. Are we gonna see improvements in R8 ? We do a lot
sheet metal parts, so this would really improve our efficiency.

I don't know if this helps but there is a product called AutoPOL, www.fccsoftware.com, you can download an eval copy for free, also you can download a free parts library of cones and such like. The great thing is you can open a "live" inventor file and unfold it and send back the flat pattern to Inventor, I have used it on many occasions and it will unfold almost anything, have a go, I am sure if you like it FCC will put you in touch with a dealer for your country.

If you do a lot of sheetmetal this program is worth
it's money.  It has a lot of neat templates that do offset cones and other
stuff directly from inventor.  They will not unfold with IV though only
AutoPOL
