Sheet Metal: Spline in Contour Flange

Creating "contour flange" sheet metal part with a sketch containing a
spline-section is working fine, accept the flat pattern creation. Should it
be possible to use a spline in the contour-flange function, where can I
find tips & tricks about this, has someone any suggestions? Thanx in
advance.

Splines would be akin to deformations in the SM context and while I haven't tried it in R10 yet. I wouldn't expect it to unfold. There are certain types of what would normally be assumed to be deformations that will unfold, but I never got good enough results to convince myself there would be a practical use for the result.

Willy,

Generally speaking, Inventor does not support unfolding spline face in sheet
metal.
