Share 3D models with Mac and Linux users

Hi,

we are using Autodesk Inventor for our 3D modelling and we are working together with a group of scientists.

Those people would like to see our models, rotate them, take measurements, change the visibility of parts or subassemblies and maybe even make cross sections.
It works quite well with the Design Review program, but unfortunately our scientists mostly use Mac OS or Linux.
Running Design Review under a windows emulation is not an option for our big models.

What else could we do?

Thanks in advance,
Roland.

Search Google for information on Fusion 360 sign-up.

Thanks for the quick reply!

It seems to answer my questions, but it's not available yet, right?

I just signed up for the beta and hopefully get a chance to test it.

How much will that cost per month?

Is there already a release date?

thx,

Roland.

Oh, another question:

Will it work for Linux users as well?

The ad says "PC user" which can mean many things.

You might take a look at this website and search around for compatible AutoDesk software : http://www.winehq.org/

I know they've played around with getting Inventor itself to run in Linux before, but they weren't successful.

WINE allows Linux users to run most Windows based software in Linux. You might want to download and set-up a free copy of Linux on your machine to experiment with different possible solutions.

You should ask questions like this in the Fusion 360 beta forum.
