It is not uncommon to weld two components and then to weld another component the weld and surrounding material is prep'd.
Inv seems to have a problem with doing the secondary preparation, because in Preparation mode it can't see the first weld 😞
As far as I can tell, if this was done as as Machining it wouldn't be possible because in Welding mode it doesn't see the Machining 😞
The Weldment area needs addressing.
However, some Welds that are required seem to be too diffcult for Inv. For example, a plug weld (surely it should be possible to selected the base surface, the extent surface and the bounding surfaces of a plug weld).
Why are we allowed to create either parts or features within an Assembly and class/define them as Welds ?
The drawing environment could then recognise them as such and we could use the features in the Drawing Manager provided for weldments.
