Saving Inventor 2014 .dxf as older versions of Inventor.

We use Coreldraw x5 with our laser cutter (universal 300).  The Inventor 2010 ,dxf files could be imported into Coreldraw x5 and worked great.  We upgraded this school year to Inventor 2014 and now Coreldraw 5x won't recognize the .dxf files. Error message is "invalid file format".

Please help.

Welcome to the forum.

When you do the "save copy as" to create the dxf click on the "options" button and you should be able to change the dxf version - try using AutoCAD 2000 and see if CorelDraw is ok.

I have just tried the above and have been able to get a idw from Inventor 2014 to CorelDraw X5 via a version 2000 dxf.  Hope it works for you.
