Save or export as what?

What is the best way to send a pretty large assembly file to a customer to use in their assembly, but so they can't get any info or size, dimensions of the parts. just so they can use the assembly to see if it fits?

Use shrink wrap to create a simplified ipt file and then export it to a neutral format of preference(I like step files, myself).

Hi Dferr34,

If you're using Inventor 2014 look for the BIM Simplify tools, previous to that (back to Inventor 2010ish) you'll use the ShrinkWrap tool. Be sure to create a LOD (Level of Detail) first to remove internal parts, etc. then create the Shrinkwrap by specifying that LOD, this will help reduce the file size.

I hope this helps.
Best of luck to you in all of your Inventor pursuits,
Curtis
