STEP file import (unit error)

I downloaded a shoulder screw from a supplier in s STEP format. When inventor opens it a diameter that is supposed to be .25in is .25mm. How can I convert the units and retain the nominal value?

I remember seeing this for a SAT file.  Check
out the post on 7/14/03, titled "SAT out of ACAD 2004, Inventor in Metric
Problem".

May or may not help.

Hmmm

Have you changed the units value in part properties?

You can probably make a derived part from the original, scale it, then break the link and end up with the same thing. Or acis out the derived version and delete them, or ...... you get the idea.
