Problems with Inventor 7 help files

Everytime I try and open a .htm help file I get a message saying "Internet Explorer Script Error". It goes on to read "Object doesn't support this property or method". Does anyone know of a solution? Much thanks.

Hi there: Please provide more info as to how you are accessing Help - are
you using the Help button on main toolbar, f1, dialog box buttons...?

I have the same problem. I installed R7 on two machines and both
machines give the script-errors.

I have script-errors by:
Main toolbar - Help :
- Help Topics, any link
- What's New - Select item - Select link in the opened windows
- Tutorials, any link
- Help for Autocad users - Any link
(Programming Help: Functions correct)
F1, any link
Dialog button "?", some links

In short, almost always.

Steps followed to install R7:
Inventor 6.2 is installed
updated to Windows 2000 SP 4
upgraded Graphics card driver to Autodesk certified for R7
Installed Internet Explorer 6.0 from AIS7 (service pack 1 cannot be
installed on either machine, I get an error "A previous installation
has pending work requiring a reboot. You need to restart your computer
to complete that installation before running internet Explorer Setup.",
a reboot doesn't solve this error)
Installed R7, reboot
Installed R7SP1, reboot

Start R7, select help - Help topics, on main toolbar
See picture for result, already looks incorrect
Select link, generates the script error

Information from help window: HTML Help Control Version 5.2.3735.1

On one machine: Removed R7, removed R6, installed R7 (without SP1),
script errors in the helpfile, installed SP1, still script errors

Windows 2000 SP4 apparently introduced several Help issues that IE6 SP1 is
suppose to fix. I had the same problem with the reboot issue, but I was
able to fix it by going through the steps in the Microsoft Article 312444
(http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;312444).

Installing Microsoft Patch 811630 has fixed several scripting errors that
were introduced in an earlier IE patch.
