Problem with using Dual Screens in Inventor 2012

I am in need to switch between dual screens and my laptop screen. When i switch from dual screen to my laptop screen i loose a lot of the prompt menu boxes eg. insert frame, mitre cut, iproperties etc. I assume it is due to inventor remembering the user settings - if this is the case, how can i reset them?

This is not exactly a reset, but there is a way you can move one that has popped up on the disconnected monitor back to the laptop screen.  Once you've moved it, Inventor will remember the new position for that dialog box, but you will have to repeat this for each one.

Hit Alt+Space, then "M".  This is the keyboard shortcut for moving a window.  Then, hold down your arrow key in the opposite direction of where the missing monitor was (if second screen was on the right, hold down left, etc).  You should be able to get the box back on the laptop screen this way.

Thanks for that. It works and will get me moving forward. I do switch regularly though as my setup differs when working in and out of the office so if anybody knows of a quick way to reset the enviroment it would be appreciated.

Have not tried this, but try setting up a different user login for laptop only usage.
