Problem with discontinuos paths when doing sweeps.

I am just using this slide as an example.

When I try to sweep along the whole path it gives me an error message that my path is discontinuous.

When making the second arc in the curve I tryed snapping it to the endpoint of the first curve and also tried making a point where the two lines would meet. Niether of these worked.

I know I don't have the right constraint but would like to know what I am missing.

I am also having problems getting any shapes that I make out of of two or more arcs/lines to offset or extrude.

I included an example of the shape that I am trying to offest. It only let's me offset one segment. Also will not let me extrude the shape after I finish the sketch.

It is probably something in my settings because I can go to the CADstation downstairs and do both of these drawings no problem.

I'm using Inventor 2014 (student).

Thanks,

Kyle

I figured it out,

I didn't have the "all" checkbox ticked  under "Scope of constraint inference" in the constraint options.

This helped with both problems.
