Hi,
I'm new to point clouds.
I have a dozen point cloud scans taken from various locations - required to be done this way due to size of site.
How can I stitch them together to make one large point cloud?
At the moment they are all over the place (x,y,z and rotations), nothing lines up.
I would like to select edges and tell the point clouds to 'constrain'.
Do I need to create planes? What is the normal procedure?
At the moment I'm trying to put them all into a part file, should I be using an assembly?
Thanks,

The procedure today is to use the software that comes with the scanner to register the multiple scans into one single point cloud. You can then bring it into whatever authoring software you like. What make of scanner generated the scans?
