Partslist very slow

I have a small assembly, but inside there are some parts that were inserted original in STEP-format. (2 assemblies)

 

When I want to make the IDW with partslist, the blue windows circle keeps on spinning.

 

Is it knows that Inventor has problems with files like STEP, IGES in assemblies?

 

How to solve this.

This depends on the quality of the STEP files imported. If the STEP files are healthy without errors , then the views and part list created should work without such problems. Could you please post the assembly here and specify which version of Inventor you work with.
