Parts List and BOM Combines Regular Nuts and Jam Nuts together? Why?

I Have a gripe with the BOM . I have found that if I have a 1" Hex Nut and a
1" Hex Jam Nut in my assembly, the parts list will group them together,
when I use the Group Settings. I want to gtoup my bolts, but not the
different nuts, What can I do?

What keys did you use in the Group Settings?

Let say all nuts in your parts list have the same stock number, but some of them have a description "Nut" and the others have "Jam Nut" in the description field.
Using "Stock Number" as the 1st key you will group all these nuts together (mixed regular and jam nuts).
Using "Description" as the 2nd key then you will divide the created group into 2 groups, separately regular nuts and separately jam nuts.

Or you can use simply the "Description" as the 1st key - it depends on parts/components and their properties in your parts list and on the desired grouping results for them.
