Need dims in iso views

I'm being asked to dimension a part that predates me, and I'm having trouble with it. This part is confusing to the break operators, and I can see why. I'm trying to dimension the ends of this part in the iso view, but I'm not able to get them as easily as I was hoping. We need outside dimensions for these flanges. How best to go about what I'm doing?

Dimensioning in iso views is not easy as you are finding out.  Especially when it comes to tangency.  My suggestion would be to add sketch lines to this view and dimension to those.

It may also help to have the hidden lines turned on while dimensioning or creating sketch geometry to dimension to.

Thank you, fellas. I'm sure you'll be glad to know that I put the gun away and decided I wanted to live, probably a direct result of your help. Turning on hidden lines did help immensely in getting the sketch geometry I needed drawn so I could dimension this still very ugly part. Thanks.
