Multiple user projects

We have just switched to Inventor and are fairly green with all it's bells and whistles. Are training left us with more questions than answers. The most important question is projects and how to set them properly. I've read almost every thing I could find but am still confused. Does any one know where I can find a simple "How To" on multiple users in a semi isolated enviroment?

Have you read the project word document that is on the R6 CD? I can't
remember the name or the location, maybe somebody else can chime in.
Reading this document helped me alot.

have you looked at "Autodesk Inventor 6 File Management.doc" on the documentation folder on the R6 CD?

Then do so.

It requires some basic knowledge about project files, but is really a very good document for exactly your needs.

And be sure to post any questions to the newsgroup if you still have problems afterwards.

Happy reading, Jorgen

is that document specific to r6 or would someone still stuck on r5 benefit
from it? and if i could benefit from it, is it on the web somewhere so i
can read it now instead of waiting for the penny pinchers to agree to
upgrade?

You could certainly apply the principles from the article. I searched but
could not find the "white paper" on the Autodesk website. A search through
Knowledge Base using "project files" will produce a series of KB articles
that contain the same basic information.
