Mass custom Iprop modification

Is there any easy way of adding custom Iprops to previously created parts and assemblies? A macro or something that could set up additional lines without having to go in and type them out all the time?

Please save me wearing this keyboard out! You're my only hope!

Cheers

Nick

Hi Nick

Go to Design Assistant and get Copy Design Properties tool.

You can also check in http://apps.exchange.autodesk.com/ for any app to do the same.

Don't forget that addign a custom column to your BOM will add a custom iProperty to all the parts in the assembly.

edit: Sorry, Paul has just said this.Smiley Embarassed

You can also create a dummy assembly, pull in all the parts & assemblies you want to edit, then use BOM editor and RMB on column to add column iproperty to all items.

This will batch copy the iproperty field and if you want the same value in many fields it's easy to copy and paste cells as in excel.
