Making support and stiffening ribs on a curved plastic surface.

Hello,

I am trying to make support ribs on a curved plastic surface to make the construction stiffer for a snow puncher.

(Just like on the attached picture, "pic 1".)

But I am having trouble doing this over the curved surface towards the top end of the rib.

As is now I sketch the shape of the rib in both ends and loft it over a sketch (see attached picture, "pic 2"), and then revolve to get the ends.

But this gives problems, result is not good and it's very time consuming.

If this was on a flat surface it would be easier, but now I get a lip along the loft and along the revolve on the top end of the rib.

Anyone know of a smarter/faster way to do this?

I'm using Inventor Professional 2013 Student Version.

I managed to get it looking good and all the filets worked. (Pic 3)

Still a very bothersome way of doing it I feel.

If there would be a way to "stamp" the shape out..  but I don't know how.
