Just a silly question?

I've been using IV for a while (started IV 2.) and never paid attention to
a column in the Model Parameters dialog box that can be checked. Can anyone
here please explain it to me.
Thank you in advance.

From help:

The Export Parameters check box exports selected Model and User parameter values to
the Custom tab of the component properties dialog box. They are then available from the
Column Chooser dialog box in the bill of materials and the parts list.
1.. Select Tools > Parameters.
2.. In the parameters dialog box, click the check box next to the parameter you
want to export in the Export Parameters column.
3.. Click Done.

Also it makes them available in Derived files which is what I use it most for.
