I think i heard something about it, wasn't google in the race for acquisition of autodesk as well?
Would do wonders for their Sketch-up... 😉

I don't think so, if anything it would to buy Maya only. The company they just purchased Oculus uses Maya for it's 3D world...

 

 Facebook has no more money to buy Autodesk it would cost them I would say about 30 Billion seeing Autodesk spent Billions on Maya and to repurchase the kernel for Inventor..
