Ipt Revisions

Hello All,

Simple question. Is there a way to attach the revision table on the .idw file to the .ipt part file?

It would be really nice to attach the revision table to the ipt part file. I have done it once before in the past where I was able to paste the associated revision table onto the new .idw file but I'm not sure how I did it! Every now and again the format of our title block gets updated, thus requiring me to update all drawings to the new formatted title block. Certain information doesn't transfer across when you do this such as the revision table. It becomes a pain to have to re-type all of the revisions you made.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi  dcmorgan,

If you type your revision notes into your iproperties (of the part or the drawing file) and then read in those iproperties, rather than typing the information directly into the revision table or title block, you be able to update without loosing information.
