I am using Inventor 2012. In a bill of material can the column descriptions go from one lin to two lines.

From: QTY NO
To: QTY

First, what you are showing is a Parts List, the BOM referes to the assembly. There is a difference in how you can work with them.
It looks like, if you make the column skinnier, the contents will word wrap to multiple lines... but not the column header. Just another deficiency in Inventor tables I think.

This is the only way I know to have multiline headers.. (scroll down under Fig 3)
And it does work.. (just tried in 2014 anyways)

When I changes the parts list descriptions the column width was not long enough and the text did not wrap.
I had to increase the width to see the words.
