Tahoma - I believe Inventor defaults to this font. We have not changed it.

What version are you using? I had a similar problem at some point with IV10. There was some sort of update to correct the problem.

IV 11. There are updates available for Inventor View as well, but they do not resolve the problem.

I received this information from an Autodesk support technician...

I have done some additional research and have found the following information.

This is a known issue with the viewer. When translating the text, the viewer is taking it from a much larger area than Inventor and it tries to maintain the aspect ratio. In doing this, the fonts can get cramped together or even run on each other.

I don't have an ETA on a change in behavior for this or even if it will be changed. The whole thing to remember is that the viewer is just that, a viewer - not meant to necessarily print the files, however I can imagine the need for a QA technician, etc. to want to do that.

The only workaround at this time is re-scaling it from the viewer to make the change in text appearance less noticeable.

Did you make up that part?

That came straight from the support tech. Sounds like they don't know how to fix the problem and are using technicalities as excuses.

This just in, not my own work, discovered on another forum
Change your default printer settings (via Control Panel) to match the desired output, then print using the default printer in Inventor View and all the font issue suddenly clear up.
It seems that if you change the printer settings from within Inventor View, it still tries to use the settings of the default print, but sends them to the selected printer.

This might be the same thing, but we've noticed that you need to use page setup in IV View in order to get a decent print. Changing options in the print window doesn't work so well.
