Hi!
I had initial trouble when trying to embed the Inventor View control in an
application as described in the Help docs.
It turns that the control is not registered when installing, so my app or
web page or whatever won't work on other View clients. I have to manually
register the control on all clients.
Is this a bug or do I have a faulty View install package? I've tried several
installs on two separate boxes with the same faulty behaviour as result.

My understanding is that you will have to manually register the ocx on each machine with the command
"regsvr32 inventorviewctrl.ocx.". I am not sure if this is as designed or a defect.
