Inventor LT 2011 - In Canvas display resulting in a crash

I am a new user going through the tutorials for Inventor LT. After completing a sketch feature and in modelling mode, I extrude a circle successfully from the in canvas display and when I accept the extrusion using the tick feature in the in canvas display, Inventor crashes. However, when I use the extrude dialogue box and accept the extrusion the system does not crash. I am using this a workaround, but would appreciate it if anybody out there has experienced this issue and found any other way around it. This issue only appears to be in the extrude task.

My platform is Windows 7/32 Bit/4Gb RAM/NVIDEA Quadro FX 580 graphics card.

There was a hotfix for this error.

Install that and see if it helps.
