Inventor DWG model space

We are using Inventor DWG"s instead of IDW's. If I open an IV DWG and insert a block (that inventor saves in the file) into model space in the DWG will it corrupt the file in inventor.

OR

If I am going to have some blocks from the drawing inserted into model space should I have two verions of the file?

Thanks
Kevin

Hi Kevin,
Sorry for that I don’t understand your problem.
1. I don’t know your meaning about ‘corrupt’, would you like to explain it for me?
2. Why you should have two versions of the file? What’s the problem you worry about, and what’s the problem you want to avoid?
your answers will help me to investigate and answer this issue exactly.

Thanks in advance,
Sally
