Inventor is a 2D to 3D tool.  You create 2D sketches and Inventor helps you turn them into 3D models.  Or perhaps I'm misunderstanding what you're asking for.  Please provide more detail.

Hi,
For every release of inventor autosesk labs release 2D to 3D tool for converting AutoCAD drawings to 3D.refer http://labs.autodesk.com/manufacturing/.

Ah, now I understand.  I have not used this tool in previous versions, but I would not trust the results unless you trust the AutoCAD drawings to be absolutely accurate.

It has now been updated to support Inventor 2012.

No, this has not been updated to support Inventor 2013 yet. Once it is I will give an update on my blog.

x86 is 32bit. Unless anything has greatly improved over the last 4 or 5 years since I last used the 2D-3D tool, then it is quicker just to remodel the part in Inventor.. In the end you get a better parametric model in less time.
