Inventor 2014 Wish List?

For next releases:

1 - Editing sketches dimension just clicking on feature, like SW.

2 - Show the entities information without having to search for the information, like SW

3 - Ability to insert constraint just selecting the entities and software knows what you want, like SW.

4 - Change the view drawing even after inserted on sheet, is very usefull. Ex: You inserted a front view but you want to change it to top view. So you must delete the view and choose another one.

5 - Width mating parts.. it MUST have on assembly environment.

6 - Improve or complete change the 3D sketch. SW have one of the best, simple and full controlled 3d sketches of ever. Please, call them and ask how they do it.

Well, this is just a lew wish list.

HI fenerichi,

The best place to post wish list items these days is the Inventor IdeaStation.

You can use this link to share your ideas about how to improve Inventor with the Development Team, and others will show their support for your idea by giving it kudos.

I hope this helps.
Best of luck to you in all of your Inventor pursuits,
Curtis

and you may as well start or go with a 2015 wish list as I am sure 2014 is not going to be changed or added to at this point.

In regards to this one, Inventor is way past this-- before about 2011, double clicking on a feature would show all sketches and other dimensions associated with the feature, available for editing.  Now you just use the right mouse button and choose "Show Dimensions".  Change dimensions as you wish, then hit the 'Update' button.  Still very useful, just not quite as easy to get to as it used to be.

Thanks you for the tip. It seems to be very useful. However, editing sketch dimensions on SW we don't need go to the browser we just click on the feature on the screen and all dimensions appears. Then we just drag the blue sphere and changes are done. Even so I thanks you. It will help a lot. -- Marcos Fenerichi
