The thumbnails generated by Inventor 2014 has some rather strange clippings, which can sometimes make it hard to identify the part.
I suggest this item is put on Autodesk's to-do-list to fix.
Generally I just think there are too many bugs and errors introduced in a new version of Inventor. Especially since I have an expectation of the application to be improved by each realease.

Chris
Hi Chris,
Thanks for reporting!
I take a look at the image for the thumbnail which has issue, the model seems a sheetmetal , so I create a similar sheetmetal .ipt in my Inventor 2014 but unfortunately cannot reproduce it. I use Win7 64 bit OS.
So need more information from you, does it can reproduce stably in your side ? You use Inventor 2014 RTM or update2 ? Which OS do you use ? If possible, can you share me a .ipt which has this problem in your side here or send me via Hongyuan.Li@autodesk.com , we will investigate it.
Thanks again for your post !

Kevin,
Same problem here.
Many differernt systems, different OS's different releases of Inventor. I see the clipping.
Ususally when using task scheduler for a Migration or Update Design task.
Attached Image was taken from Win8.1 system using Inventor 2015 following a Task Scheduler "Update Design"

Hi bverboort,
We had confirmed this problem to our development team and plan to fix it in Inventor 2016 release.
I need your feedback as :
1. Does this problem affect significantly to your job ?
2. Not sure if your Inventor 2014 version are up-to-date, so far the Inventor SP2 and its Update2 had been released. You can try to install them to do a double check.
