Your right, they did pull it.
This is pathetic. SP1 is way behind schedule at this point, and correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't this the second time they pulled it down?
Yes, the SP1 was taken down this morning due to an unforseen memory managment regression. It will be reposted shortly. If you have already installed SP1 & are experiencing random instability you can uninstall it & wait for the updated version; otherwise you can leave it as-is & add the hotfix once it is released.
Not that it changes anything, but this is first time the SP has been removed.
Very sorry for the inconvenience.

Rereading my post, I think it was a lot harsher than I meant it to be. Pathetic isn't the right word. Disappointing is better.
I'm not sure what I was thinking of then that was taken down...
Thanks for the update Chris.
Hi Chris,
Can you post a procedure to uninstall correctly the SP1,
Thanks,
Vincent
Sure - sorry about that - you can unistall as follows:
Windows 7:
Windows XP:
NOTE: In certain situations the uninstallation of Autodesk Inventor 2013 Service Pack 1, through the typical operating system uninstall capability, will have a dependency on the original installation media. We recommend that before attempting this uninstall, you should ensure the original installation media is available and mounted at the same location used during the installation of Autodesk Inventor 2013.
If you included this SP1 Beta within a deployment image of Autodesk Inventor 2013, you should familiarize yourself with an article posted to the Being Inventive Support blog , as Microsoft released a hotfix that addresses a known issue that could potentially be encountered.

Hi Mike,
I won't give you an exact date so then we won't be pathetically disaappointing when we miss it... 🙂
The last I heard it was looking like "mid" October.
Cheers,
Chris
without SP1 inv 2013 was very unstable....
with SP1 its even worse...
seriously, where is the 'quality ' ???
wasting hours every day...
Let me clarify;
I didn't check before I installed SP1 since in previous versions it would state SP1 or SP2 depending on which was installed. I have already installed SP1 but when I check I don't see anything related to SP1 like before. What I see now is;
Build: 138, Release: 2013 RTM - Date: Thu 03/01/2012
How can I tell SP1 is installed, Does Build 138 = SP1?
Thanks!
It means that SP1 has not been installed. Here is the list of Inventor build numbers:
http://www.cadforum.cz/cadforum_en/products.asp?prod=Inventor
Vladimir Michl, www.cadstudio.cz www.cadforum.cz
The about screen should mention Build: 170, Release 2013 SP1
In your case I don't think you have SP1 installed
Anyone still using SP1 ?
Inventor was much faster with the "not successful" release of SP1 but not very stable, I unistalled it. When working with a big assembly, if I edit a part in place, Inventor is terribly slow ! Anyone can confirm it will be corrected with SP1 ?
Thanks
Thanks for the info everyone, we thought we had installed SP1. That would explain why we don't see the text "SP1" in the About area! We are not sure we want to install it now considering the slow performance related to in place editing mention previously.
Sorry for not being clear: In place editing is slow without SP1. With SP1 it's faster but it seems to crash more often.
To check, open the Windows Control Panel, go to Programs and Features, then open the "View Installed Updates".
Still running SP1
